Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) to join our healthcare team. Shifts Available: FT Days and Evenings available. PRN night shift available.. Flexibility with scheduling (4, 8, or 12 hour shifts available). Day Shift (6a-2p or 6a-6p), Evening Shift (2p-10p or 10a-10p), Night Shift (10p-6a or 10p-10a).
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Observe and document patient conditions meticulously using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with clients and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and respond promptly to patient needs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in working with geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities or developmental delays through compassionate caregiving practices.
Skills
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare agencies with geriatric or disabled populations.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
- Ability to assist with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility support, and catheter care effectively..
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with a caring attitude towards patients’ emotional needs.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks required during patient transfers or mobility assistance; capacity for long shifts on your feet is essential.
