Knudsen Dentistry is welcoming a new dentist to the practice, and will be hiring a full-time assistant to work chairside with him! Dr. Matt Knudsen graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and has been working as an associate dentist in Virginia for the past few years. In September, Dr. Matt will be returning home to Escanaba to join Drs Eric and Beth of Knudsen Dentistry.
We are searching for a Chairside Dental Assistant to fill a full time (M-Th) position in a fun, fast-paced dental office. Prior dental experience is strongly preferred, but we will gladly train a motivated individual with a positive attitude who works well with others. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing extraordinary patient care and support our dental professionals in delivering high-quality treatment. This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn and grow in a fast-paced, technologically advanced dental office. Duties:
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care and procedures including: fillings, crown and
bridge, root canal treatment, orthodontics, removable prosthodontics, and more.
- Use digital sensors to take x-rays, and operate panorex and CBCT.
- Input and update patient medical records.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality.
- Stay up-to-date on proper infection control protocols to minimize risk of infection and maintain
a clean and organized work environment.
- Utilize Dentrix software to schedule patients, manage treatment plans, and update images.
- Display exceptional patient communication skills to promote comfort and understanding.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with others in a collaborative environment.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
