Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse residential projects, from framing and trim carpentry to finishing. As a key contributor, you will perform hands-on carpentry tasks, assist with various construction activities, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim installation, and general carpentry tasks
- Assist with the installation of doors, cabinets, fixtures, siding, and other building components in residential settings
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as wood, drywall, and other construction materials
- Set up and utilize woodworking machines for precise cuts and fabrication of custom wood components
- Support site safety by adhering to power tool safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment
- Contribute to restoration projects including water damage remediation, stucco application, plastering, masonry work, and mold remediation
- Assist with framing using wood framing techniques
Requirements
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels as well as power tools including drills, saws, sanders for woodworking and framing
- Knowledge of wood construction materials like lumber, plywood, drywall
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when necessary
- Ability to work effectively on-site in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols
