Safety Manager – Responsibilities and Duties
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all safety programs and regulatory compliance activities within the trucking company. This position ensures the company operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain company safety records, driver qualification files, and compliance documentation.
- Driver Safety and Training
- Conduct safety orientation programs for new drivers.
- Provide ongoing safety training, coaching, and educational programs for drivers and staff.
- Evaluate driver performance and address unsafe driving behaviors.
- Accident Prevention and Investigation
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and safety violations.
- Maintain accident registers and prepare required reports for management and regulatory agencies.
- Fleet Safety Management
- Coordinate vehicle inspection, maintenance, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Monitor roadside inspections, violations, and vehicle out-of-service reports.
Pay: $1,100.00 - $1,200.00 per week
