LIQUOR STORE ASSOCIATE MANAGER WITH 1 YEAR OR MORE OF LIQUOR STORE MANAGEMENT to lead our retail team with energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for exceptional customer service. Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of customer service and operational excellence
- Manage inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to optimize product availability and profitability
- Oversee cash handling procedures, BOTTLES POS (Point of Sale) systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and store financials with accuracy and integrity
- Implement effective merchandising and marketing strategies to attract customers and increase sales within the store
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to alcohol sales, licensing requirements, and health & safety standards
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, training & development programs, and team meetings to foster a motivated and knowledgeable workforce
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain excellent phone etiquette to enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements
- 1 YEAR MINIMUM proven management experience in the retail liquor environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and BOTTLES POS TECHNOLOGY, purchasing procedures, and retail math principles
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse communities
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee recruitment & interviewing, payroll administration, bookkeeping, budgeting, and operational management
- Experience supervising shifts, cash handling accuracy, merchandising techniques, and inventory control practices
- Ability to lead with confidence in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of alcohol retail regulations combined with experience in retail industry sales management is preferred
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on training & development, team management, time management skills, and customer service excellence
