Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) with medical assisting experience to join our growing orthopedic surgery practice. This position requires a dynamic professional who can perform X-ray imaging while also assisting with patient care, durable medical equipment (DME) fitting, clinical procedures, and front-office duties as needed. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care.

Primary Responsibilities:

Radiology/X-Ray Duties:

Perform digital X-ray imaging in accordance with Texas state LMRT guidelines and orthopedic protocols.
Ensure proper radiation safety for patients and staff.
Maintain X-ray equipment and exam rooms, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Assist physicians by reviewing and processing X-ray images promptly.

Medical Assisting & Patient Care:

Prepare exam rooms and assist orthopedic physicians with patient exams, injections, and minor procedures.
Take vital signs, medical history, and update electronic health records (EHR/EMR).
Apply and instruct patients on DME (braces, splints, orthopedic boots, etc.).
Assist with casting, splinting, and post-surgical dressing changes as directed by the physician.
Educate patients on post-procedure and rehabilitation care.

Administrative & Office Support:

Schedule patient appointments and assist with front desk operations when needed.
Handle prior authorizations for imaging, medications, and DME.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
Maintain clinical supplies and ensure proper inventory management.

Qualifications:

Current Texas LMRT License (required).
BLS Certification (required).
Minimum 5 years of experience in an orthopedic, sports medicine, or related setting (preferred).
Experience with DME fitting, casting, and medical assisting (preferred).
Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems (preferred).
Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule & Locations:

Must be available to work at both Fort Worth and Southlake/Keller locations.
Monday – Friday, with occasional extended hours based on patient volume.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive hourly wage: $22 - $29 per hour (based on experience).
