Job description
As a General Laborer you’ll be:
- Taking ownership of your activities in each project on a daily basis.
- All mobile equipment operators are responsible for operating mobile equipment in a safe, efficient, and responsible way.
- All mobile equipment operators are responsible for keeping mobile equipment clean inside and out at all times.
- Reporting any problems to the Supervisor, Plant Manager, or Haskell Lemon Construction Management
- Responsible for a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers within a safety sensitive work environment. When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals or other movements.
- Properly following all company policies and state and federal regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Performing general labor duties as needed.
As a General Laborer you’ll need:
- To be at least 18 years of age
- Previous heavy equipment experience would be helpful.
- To demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.
- Reliable transportation. Periodic evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime hours may be required.
- Valid Driver’s License preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Condition(s):
- This job requires the ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat twist, and climb heavy equipment several times throughout the day, and balance at heights above ground level. In addition, you must have the ability to be on your feet regularly and use hands, arms, and legs repeatedly on the job. This includes frequently walking on sloped ground and slippery and uneven surfaces, as well as working in confined areas.
- This job requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Work may be performed in an environment with exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, as well as loud and/or constant noise and exposure to moving equipment.
- Must be able to work various shifts and overtime when required.

Application Question(s):
- Applicants must be available to work any day of the week and any shift. Shifts can range anywhere from 40 hours a week in the slower months to 60 hours a week in the busier summer months, including weekends. Are you willing and able to work this schedule?
- At times our crews have to work in inclement weather. Are you willing and able to work in inclement weather (hot and cold)?
