Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this vital role, you will manage reservations, greet visitors with enthusiasm, and ensure smooth seating operations. Your positive attitude and excellent customer service skills will set the tone for a memorable dining experience.
Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems or reservation software
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation procedures in the host station and waiting area
- Answer guest inquiries promptly, providing information about menu options or restaurant policies
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
- Monitor guest comfort, address concerns proactively, and ensure a positive atmosphere
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper sanitation procedures at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments preferred, especially in customer service roles
- Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety management practices
- Familiarity with POS systems for managing reservations and guest check-ins
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
