Thank you for viewing our job posting! This opportunity is for an LPN to work DAYTIME hours in an Outpatient Clinic.
The LPN works closely with Psychiatrists in providing practical nursing duties. Assesses and observes the individual's emotional and physical response to medication and treatment. Communicates information to the individual's health care provider, their Pharmacy, families, caregivers, and other Providers involved with the individual. Communicates doctor's orders to individuals between appointments as needed. Ensures that required documentation and paperwork are completed according to Agency documentation guidelines. Provides direct psychiatric nursing care to individuals in order to provide individualized, goal-directed care. Works closely with Psychiatrists in providing medical nursing duties. Provides appointments for medication injections as directed by the Psychiatrist. Assists individuals with treatment plan completion, obtaining vital signs, updating medications in the Electronic Health Record (E.H.R.) and assisting with medication refills as directed by the Psychiatrist. Conducts initial and ongoing assessments for psychiatric care. Completes appropriate referrals as identified during the assessment process. Aids during medical emergencies occurring at the agency. Perform other related duties as required.
Must be a graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program and hold a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
