Tsugami Operator (1st or 2nd Shift)
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tsugami Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Tsugami CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, ensuring precise production of high-quality components. Your expertise will help us meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols and production schedules. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor Tsugami CNC machines to produce components according to detailed production documents and specifications
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure accurate machining processes
- Conduct dimensional measurements and quality inspections using precision tools to verify product conformity
- Perform routine mechanical troubleshooting and adjustments on machinery to maintain optimal performance
- Follow safety standards in production, including proper manual handling techniques and safety protocol adherence
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation for traceability and quality assurance
- Assist with converting machines for different jobs and perform basic mechanical maintenance as needed
Skills
- Proven experience operating Tsugami or similar CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently
- Familiarity with industrial equipment adjustment, calibration, and preventive maintenance
- Ability to interpret manufacturing documents such as blueprints, work orders, and process sheets
- Knowledge of quality standards in production and ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements
- Experience with converting machines and operating converting equipment used in packaging or paper processing environments
- Understanding of safety standards in production environments, including forklift operation when necessary
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills combined with a proactive approach to machine maintenance
- Knowledge of printing, flexo press operations, or converting machines is a plus but not required
