Electrical Assistant
Position Summary
The Electrical Assistant supports the electrical team in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial construction projects. This role assists with general electrical tasks while gaining hands-on experience in the trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the electrical team with installation of wiring, outlets, switches, panels, and fixtures
- Run and pull wire, conduit, and other electrical materials as directed
- Help with job site preparation, cleanup, and organization of tools and materials
- Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow instructions from lead personnel and supervisors
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Support overall project progress by completing assigned tasks efficiently
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn electrical systems and trade skills
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in electrical work or related construction field preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical tools and materials
- Experience on residential or commercial job sites
- Interest in building a long-term career in the electrical trade
Work Environment
- Active construction job sites (residential and commercial)
- Must follow all safety requirements including PPE usage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
