Open Door Care Network is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to join our team at our Family Medical Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY. In this essential role, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff while supporting our mission of providing high-quality healthcare to the communities we serve.
The Housekeeper reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor and plays a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection control throughout the health center.

Clean and sanitize patient exam rooms, hallways, waiting areas, restrooms, and other facility spaces.

Dust, mop, vacuum, polish, and maintain all assigned areas to ensure a clean and professional environment.

Restock housekeeping and restroom supplies and notify supervisors when inventory is low.

Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to designated disposal areas.

Properly label, remove, and dispose of infectious and hazardous waste according to established procedures.

Replenish sharps containers and biohazard materials as needed.

Dust and polish furniture, glass surfaces, stairways, elevators, and common areas.

Follow all housekeeping, safety, infection control, and environmental services procedures.

Work collaboratively with maintenance and housekeeping team members to maintain facility standards.

Complete required training and certification for biohazardous waste removal if designated for those responsibilities.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum of two (2) years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare, medical, or clinical setting.

Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, techniques, and infection control practices.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Professional, courteous, and team-oriented attitude.

Ability to understand and follow departmental procedures and safety protocols.

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.

Flexibility to work additional hours when needed.
