As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to help coordinate project activities, support client relationships, and ensure successful project delivery across multiple assignments.
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will play a critical role in coordinating projects, managing communication between stakeholders, and supporting the successful execution of technology design and construction initiatives. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a solid understanding of commercial construction processes.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating schedules and meetings, tracking project milestones, and serving as a key point of contact between Design 27, clients, contractors, and project teams. While technical design responsibilities will remain with our engineering and design staff, the Project Manager will be responsible for helping keep projects on schedule, identifying next steps, facilitating communication, and ensuring project information is effectively distributed to all parties.
Success in this role requires the ability to anticipate project needs, maintain detailed records, manage competing priorities, and confidently engage with project stakeholders throughout the construction process.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a professional representative of Design 27 to clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage project communication, ensuring information from meetings, emails, phone calls, and project documents is accurately distributed to the appropriate team members.
- Schedule, organize, and track project meetings, including coordinating attendance by Design 27 staff as required.
- Prepare and distribute bid packages, project documentation, and contractor communications.
- Review, process, and track submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), and related project documentation.
- Assist with project invoicing and pay application review as required.
- Monitor project schedules, milestones, and construction progress across multiple projects and facilities.
- Conduct site visits to verify installation progress, document project status, and coordinate with contractors and owners.
- Identify potential project challenges and communicate solutions proactively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support project teams by maintaining organized records, schedules, and action-item tracking.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in commercial construction, low voltage technology systems, telecommunications, audiovisual systems, electronic security systems, or related industries.
- Working knowledge of commercial construction practices, project delivery methods, and coordination processes.
- Experience managing project schedules, deadlines, and multiple concurrent assignments.
- Understanding of structured cabling, audiovisual, security, or other building technology systems preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is beneficial but not required.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel locally for project meetings and site visits as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
