EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports the statewide Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program through training coordination, program guidance, and communication efforts. The work helps ensure strong advocacy and services for older adults across Pennsylvania. As an Aging Services Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
- TRAINING SUPPORT: Coordinate and update training modules, conference materials, and statewide curriculum for the Ombudsman Program
- PROGRAM MONITORING: Track training activities, review program status, and process feedback for current and future sessions
- CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT: Plan topics, identify speakers, and assist with organizing meetings and events for statewide training
- CERTIFICATION OVERSIGHT: Manage certification and recertification processes for local ombudsmen and volunteers
- PUBLIC MATERIALS: Help design educational materials and ensure content is prepared and posted for public use
