Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans to transport patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of assigned vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip.
- Provide exceptional customer service by being friendly, professional, and attentive to passenger needs throughout the journey.
Experience
- Prior driving or delivery driver experience is highly preferred, especially within healthcare or transit services.
- Experience operating buses, school buses, or limousine services demonstrates strong driving skills suitable for this role.
- Knowledge of paratransit operations and heavy lifting techniques enhances your ability to serve diverse passenger needs effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required; commercial driving or bus driving certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting professionally with passengers, healthcare providers, and team members.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge helps in identifying potential issues before they become safety concerns.
