We are seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to service commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment throughout the Indianapolis service area. What You'll Do
As a Field Service Technician, you'll begin each workday from home and drive directly to your first service call. You'll diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment while delivering outstanding customer service.
Most technicians handle 2–4 service calls per day, depending on the complexity of the work. Service calls are dispatched based on your assigned territory, allowing you to work throughout the Indianapolis service area while minimizing travel.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls.
- Read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations with customers.
- Complete service documentation electronically.
- Maintain inventory and organization of your company service vehicle.
- Pick up parts locally when available or coordinate ordered parts for follow-up repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional appearance.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Start each day from home and drive directly to your first service call.
Service Area
This position services Indianapolis and the surrounding metropolitan area. Technicians are dispatched from home and remain within the Indianapolis territory whenever possible, allowing for efficient routing and reduced travel time.
Overtime & On-Call
Overtime opportunities are available and may occur when:
- A repair extends beyond the scheduled workday.
- You are participating in the on-call rotation.
On-Call Schedule
- One week every 5 weeks.
- Additional on-call compensation:
- $25 per day (Monday–Friday)
- $50 per day (Saturday–Sunday)
Most technicians average approximately 45 hours per week, with overtime increasing during peak seasons.
Qualifications
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- EPA Certification preferred.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
