This position is responsible for assisting teachers with instructional support to meet daily lesson plans provided by the teacher as well as the goals of each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Works with students with varying ability levels and needs in a classroom setting. Candidates must have a high degree of patience, ability to effectively use verbal skills to communicate with teachers, students, supervisors and parents, ability to take initiative and creatively solve problems, and posses the ability to be flexible and adapt to various and challenging environments.
Full-time-10 month (school term) M-F
Positions available for the 2026/2027 school year in Autistic Support and Multiple Disabilities Support/Autistic Support.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with students preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Technology/computer skills
