Position Overview
We are hiring an Appliance Sales Professional / Sales Specialist to assist walk-in customers, handle phone and online inquiries, recommend the right appliances, pitch promotions, upsell warranty and service options, close sales, create quotes and invoices, process payments, and coordinate orders with the delivery team.
This role is best for someone who enjoys selling, understands customer needs, and is motivated by performance-based commission.
Responsibilities
- Assist walk-in customers in an 4000 sq. ft. appliance showroom.
- Recommend appliances based on customer needs, budget, space, style, and installation requirements.
- Confidently pitch products, current promotions, bundle deals, warranty options, delivery, and installation services.
- Upsell customers when appropriate by recommending better-value models, extended warranty options, add-on services, or package deals.
- Explain product features, pricing, warranty options, delivery, and installation services clearly.
- Close sales and complete quotes, invoices, payments, and order notes.
- Answer phone calls and respond to online inquiries.
- Send product photos, dimensions, pricing, promotions, and availability to customers.
- Follow up with leads and open quotes to increase closing rate.
- Turn phone and online inquiries into store visits or completed sales.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers and warehouse staff to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Handle occasional after-sale customer service calls professionally.
- Maintain showroom displays, product tags, pricing, promotional signs, and store cleanliness.
- Assist with moving appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ranges when needed.
Qualifications
- Strong sales experience required.
- Retail sales experience preferred.
- Appliance, furniture, mattress, car, phone, or home improvement sales experience is a strong plus.
- Must enjoy selling and be comfortable closing deals.
- Strong ability to pitch customers, present promotions, and upsell products or services.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend the right product.
- Ability to handle price objections and negotiate within company guidelines.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Experience with invoices, quotes, POS systems, or order systems preferred.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and help move heavy appliances when needed.
- Spanish is a strong plus.
- Basic appliance testing or product troubleshooting experience is a plus.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the sales floor, understand customer buying behavior, stay sensitive to pricing and product demand, and help create a professional showroom experience.
Compensation
$17.00 per hour base pay
3% commission on all sales
Full-time base pay is approximately $720+ per week before commission
Monthly commission potential: $500–$3,000+ depending on performance
Schedule
Part-time position between 2~3 day/week
