Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class A CDL Driver to join our construction company. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, with a focus on operating flatbed and trailers. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and professionalism while transporting equipment/material across designated routes. .
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of trucks, including flatbed and rock trailers, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details as required by DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transport.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving to promote safety on the road.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed and tanker operations.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailer units.
- Automatic / Manual Vehicle options
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently and adapt to changing conditions.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and crews.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 40 pounds) as needed during loading/unloading processes.
