looking for a dependable, hardworking Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items accurately, consistently, and efficiently while maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen.
We are looking for someone who can work well in a fast-paced bar and grill environment, handle busy service periods, and work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portions, and restaurant standards.
- Work grill, fryer, flat-top, and other kitchen stations as assigned.
- Prepare food quickly and accurately during busy service periods.
- Complete assigned food preparation before and during shifts.
- Maintain proper food temperatures and follow safe food-handling procedures.
- Keep workstations clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift.
- Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products.
- Follow FIFO procedures and help minimize food waste.
- Monitor product levels and communicate shortages or prep needs.
- Assist with receiving and properly storing food deliveries as needed.
- Clean cooking equipment, work surfaces, floors, and kitchen areas.
- Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Follow all health department, sanitation, and restaurant safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with other cooks, bartenders, servers, and management.
- Help other kitchen team members when needed to keep service running smoothly.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or line-cook experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Must meet Idaho food-handler requirements.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work around hot cooking equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry approximately 40–50 pounds when necessary.
Schedule
Schedules may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs.
Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
