Bakery in New York City looking for an Assistnat Baker / mixer working with Head Baker with the daily operations of the bakery department. This position involves preparation, mixing, baking, and presentation of a diverse range of baked sweets while maintaining quality and food safety standards. - Production: Work on baking operations, including following recipes, mixing and and baking.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products consistently meet established quality, taste, temperature, and presentation standards.
- Safety & Sanitation: follow strict food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP, FSMA) to maintain a clean and hygienic work area and comply with health regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Proven professional baking experience (typically 2+ years),
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of baking science, techniques, and ingredient functions.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in measurements, timing, and presentation.
