Everyone Deserves Housing (EDH) exists to ensure that people experiencing street-level homelessness have a clear, compassionate pathway off the streets and into stable housing. We work to break down barriers to services, recognizing that lasting stability requires equitable access to housing, healthcare, and community-based supports.
The Maintenance Tech/Custodian is responsible for program maintenance and repair tasks and cleaning common areas, community restrooms and showers, and repairing and preparing dorms for occupancy. They seek to provide guests with a safe, positive, and sanitary living environment. They complete the day-to-day tasks of work orders, daily cleaning and sanitizing of common spaces and bathrooms.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs (i.e. fix/replace doorknobs, showerheads, toilet seats, light bulbs, smoke detectors & batteries, pressure washing dorms and walkways, furniture assembly, etc...).
- Maintain facility cleanliness and operations with functioning maintenance follow-up, service, and vendor facilitation when needed.
- Perform routine scheduled cleaning duties: sweep, mop, and wash walls and windows.
- Clean bathrooms, food serving areas, and other common areas.
- Stock and assist with communicating tracking & ordering inventory.
- Facilitate, pack, label, and store previous & current client belongings.
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy.

- Contribute to and support a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Work in-person at Bayside Enhanced Shelter and attend required in-person meetings.

Pay: $28.84 per hour
