About us: NWITE is always looking for Experienced Tent Installers. Must explain experience on resume. READ DESCRIPTION. If you previously have worked for a party rental or tent rental company and enjoyed the experience and can handle the challenges, we are hiring! This can and will be hard work. We are looking for EXPERIENCED TENT INSTALLERS. We have work thru October. Save up before winter. Must be able to work when needed. Some Sundays are needed. NWI Tents & Events is a small family owned business near Portage, IN. Warehouse located in Portage Twp, with Valparaiso zipcode. We have work now through out October delivering, setting up and tearing down Tents, Tables and Chairs for all size events, from backyard parties, large city festivals, beer gardens, or County Fairs. We meet at our warehouse to begin the day and cover most of Northwest Indiana. Position starts as temporary, but opportunity to work as crew leader or on a fulltime crew is possible. The Tent & Event industry is a large industry to build a career or learn to start your own business. Many opportunities throughout the US.
Work Environment: The parties don't cancel due to weather. We setup in all weather conditions for the party to go on. Be prepared for a fun and enjoyable atmosphere where we all get along and have fun while getting a tan and working out. Some days are long hard days and some short easy days as well. We have the opportunity to see an event from start to finish, and be able to proudly say, we did that!
Requirements & Qualifications: We are looking for strong, hardworking, motivated individuals to deliver, setup, and tear down tents and events, and deliver great customer service at all times. Box truck experience is helpful.
- Valid Driver's License (18yrs or older to drive our box trucks)
- Experience With Installing Tents (2 -3 years with references)
- Ability to regularly and repetitively lift 75lbs or more (strength)
- Ability to handle the outdoor environments (stamina)
- Punctual & Dependable
- Great Customer Service Skills and Appearance
- Ability to work 6-12 hr days
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Ability to communicate with coworkers and customers, also with reading and writing.
