We are a growing company, with all brand new equipment. We have everything you need in your truck to make your job as efficient and easy as possible. We are seeking a motivated and responsible Non-Commercial Driver's License ( Can have a CDL, but not needed) Tow Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate tow trucks to assist stranded or disabled vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient recovery and transportation. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will be essential to providing top-tier roadside assistance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, professionalism, and teamwork are prioritized. We are interested in a WEOP (weekend option) position as well as a evenings position, that would still require weekends and on call on occasional evenings.
Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks equipped with flatbed/wheel lift or medium duty wheel lift to recover vehicles from various locations.
- Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment such as chains and 8 pt tie downs.
- Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery approach, and at times light repair work roadside.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients during roadside assistance and explaining repair or recovery procedures.
- Manage conflict situations professionally, ensuring safety for all parties involved.
- Perform routine inspections and minor mechanical repairs on tow trucks to ensure optimal operation.
- Expeditiously and safely respond to 911 dispatches.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
- Valid non-commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with automotive tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to tow truck operations and roadside assistance.
- Prior experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, or mechanic work is highly desirable. Join our team and become a key player in delivering reliable roadside assistance! Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
