Overview
Join our dynamic team as an AutoCAD Drafter and bring innovative design concepts to life through precise technical drawings and detailed schematics. Duties
- Create detailed 2D drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks for a variety of projects including construction, civil engineering, and mechanical design.
- Develop accurate models and plans that incorporate technical specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into precise drafting documents.
- Prepare construction documents, layout plans, sections, elevations, and assembly drawings for review and approval.
- Utilize CAD software to modify existing designs based on feedback or evolving project requirements.
- Assist in creating visualizations such as 2D animations or walkthroughs to enhance project presentations.
- Ensure all drawings are compliant with safety regulations and project specifications while maintaining high standards of accuracy and clarity.
Experience
- Proven experience in drafting with AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, or SolidWorks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and construction processes.
- Experience preparing schematics for electrical or mechanical systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings and translate them into detailed CAD models.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to civil engineering or architectural drafting.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
