Hours: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, weekdays and/or event days
Pay: $22–$25/hour base + sales bonus or commission
Hill House Decor is hiring a friendly and confident Pop-Up Sales Associate to help sell our desserts and services at pop-up locations in the Bay Area.
Our main products are nougats and mousse cakes, plus we also offer corporate catering services
This role is perfect for someone who is warm, professional, and comfortable talking to customers during lunch-hour pop-ups.
Responsibilities
- Sell Hill House Dessert’s nougats, mousse cakes, and dessert gift boxes at pop-up stores, Farmers Market
- Introduce our corporate catering services to office managers, admins, HR teams, and company employees
- Invite customers to try samples and encourage purchases
- Collect company leads, customer emails, and catering inquiries
- Keep the pop-up table clean, attractive, and fully stocked
- Help set up and pack down the pop-up display
- Process sales through POS or payment system
- Represent Hill House Decor in a polished, warm, and professional way
Requirements
- Sales, retail, food service, hospitality, or event experience preferred
- Comfortable approaching customers and starting conversations
- Friendly, confident, and reliable
- Strong communication skills
- Interest in desserts, gifting, events, flowers, or lifestyle brands
- Able to stand during the pop-up shift
- Available from 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Ideal Candidate
You enjoy talking to people and can naturally turn a quick conversation into a sale. You are not pushy, but you are confident and proactive. You can explain desserts, catering, and flower subscriptions in a simple and attractive way.
You should feel comfortable saying things like:
“Would you like to try a sample?”
“We also do dessert catering for offices and company events.”
“We offer silk flower subscriptions for company front desks and office spaces.”
Compensation
$20–$25 per hour base pay, depending on experience
Additional sales bonus or commission available
Suggested bonus structure:
- 5% commission on catering orders closed
- Daily bonus if pop-up sales goal is reached
