Looking for someone with an interest and passion about local food production. This position will be involved with many aspects of our food production business. You'll work closely with the business owner and other departmental mangers to continue to grow and improve our business. This position requires someone who can manage multiple priorities at one time and can consistently be productive at a high level. The person must also be able to manage a staff that fluctuates from 1 - 10 people throughout the year, and have the entire team be consistently productive and always focused on the highest priority tasks.
A high energy level and willingness to troubleshoot, find solutions to problems, and determination to do whatever is required to be successful will serve you well in this position.
September through February, primary focus will be on cider production, apple sorting, delivery to our 3 retail locations and managing receiving and inventory management for supplies. This is crunch time, and everyone needs to be laser focused on meeting peak season demands.
March - May focus will be on tree pruning, while maintaining regular deliveries to the retail locations and receiving, as well had firewood production to support our wood boiler.
June - July the focus is on facilities improvements, while continuing to maintain regular deliveries to retail locations and receiving.
In August, peach harvest is the focus, while continuing to maintain regular deliveries to retail locations and receiving, while preparing for the upcoming harvest season.

The farm operation incorporates 170 acres, currently planted with 30 acres of apples, 1 acre peaches, 1/4 acre plums and small planting of pears.
You'll be involved in all aspects of the business operation either directly or in support. Our operation includes 3 Year Round retail locations, bakery, fresh cider production, hard cider production and pizzeria.
This is a family owned farming operation, owned and operated by the family for 174 years. You'll be working closely with the owner on all business operations with continual opportunities to learn more about all business operations and to share your insights and ideas on ways we can improve.
