Job Title: CNC Operator
Location: Charlotte, NC
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $23–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Second Shift: 3:00pm-1:30am
Schedule: Monday–Thursday full-time, with potential overtime on Friday
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines, ensuring high-quality production of machined components, and maintaining equipment according to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines according to production specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality and tolerance standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance using measuring tools.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Previous experience as a CNC Operator or in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong understanding of CNC machinery, tooling, and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficient with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime if needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with precision manufacturing and high-tolerance parts.
- Familiarity with CNC programming or CAM software.
- Knowledge of quality standards and lean manufacturing principles.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
