Position Summary
Sapulpa Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Long-Term Care team on the overnight shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). The CNA provides direct resident care and assistance with activities of daily living while promoting resident dignity, comfort, and safety in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Includes rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously.
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental condition to the nurse.
- Take and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other assigned documentation.
- Assist residents with meals, hydration, and snacks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Participate in resident care planning and communicate effectively with nursing staff and other departments.
- Follow infection control, safety, and resident rights policies at all times.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
- Perform rounds throughout the shift to ensure resident safety and comfort.
Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Long-Term Care experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, transfer, reposition, and assist residents safely.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to push and pull equipment as needed.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
