The fastest way to become a better auditor isn't working more hours.
It's working on the right engagements.
Leading them.
Learning from experienced people.
And being trusted with real responsibility.
That's exactly what this opportunity offers.
This established Tampa CPA firm has built an audit practice where Seniors aren't expected to spend years sitting one step behind someone else.
They're expected to lead.
With the support to keep developing as they do.

The opportunity
This is a genuine Audit Senior position where you'll take ownership of engagements rather than simply support them.
You'll plan audits.
Coordinate fieldwork.
Review the work of junior team members.
Build relationships with clients.
And work closely with Managers and Shareholders throughout each engagement.
You'll also play an important role in mentoring less experienced auditors as they continue developing their careers.
If you enjoy taking responsibility and want the opportunity to continue progressing towards Audit Manager, you'll have every opportunity to do so here.
The clients
One of the biggest advantages of this role is the variety of work.
You'll gain exposure across industries including:
- Government
- Non-profit organisations
- Construction
- Manufacturing
- Healthcare
- Technology
- Employee Benefit Plans
- Small and medium-sized businesses
Summer doesn't mean sitting around waiting for busy season to come back.
The team remains engaged with benefit plan audits, governmental work, non-profit engagements and a steady pipeline of audit assignments throughout the year.
The result is consistent, interesting work without the dramatic peaks and troughs many audit teams experience.
What you'll be doing
- Leading audit engagements from planning through completion
- Coordinating multiple client engagements
- Reviewing the work of Audit Associates
- Assessing internal controls and audit risk
- Presenting findings and recommendations to clients
- Building long-term client relationships
- Working alongside experienced Managers and Shareholders
- Helping develop the next generation of auditors
The culture
The firm believes responsibility should be earned—not delayed.
If you're ready to lead an engagement, you'll be trusted to do it.
If you need support, experienced leaders are always available.
It's a collaborative environment where questions are encouraged, development is taken seriously and success is measured by the quality of your work—not how late you stay in the office.
Busy season gradually builds to around 50 hours per week between mid-February and mid-April.
That's intentional.
The Partners believe good planning produces better audits than exhausted auditors ever will.
Who this role suits
You'll have:
- Around three or more years of public accounting audit experience
- An active CPA license, or significant progress towards obtaining one
- Experience leading audit engagements
- Strong technical audit knowledge
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to work independently
Experience with Governmental or Non-profit audits would be particularly valuable, although auditors with broader multi-industry experience are also encouraged to apply.
The reality
Some firms make Audit Seniors wait years before trusting them to lead.
This firm believes the best way to develop future Managers is to start giving them meaningful responsibility today.
