Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality concrete finishing work on commercial construction projects, ensuring smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing surfaces. Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds.
- Follow project specifications for concrete placement and finishing.
- Operate concrete mixers and concrete pumps to ensure proper delivery of materials at the worksite.
- Install rebar reinforcement and formwork structures according to construction plans to support concrete placement.
- Perform concrete cutting, grinding, caulking, and sealing tasks to achieve precise finishes and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with team members on heavy lifting, metal stud framing, masonry work, and other related tasks necessary for comprehensive site development.
- Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations including proper use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and safety protocol compliance.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and concrete pumping machinery safely and efficiently.
- Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and following detailed construction plans.
- Expertise in concrete forming, finishing techniques including floating, troweling, stamping, and decorative stucco applications.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry work, roofing basics, plastering, restoration projects, flooring installation, tile laying, and roofing is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during concrete pouring and curing processes.
- Familiarity with construction site experience including working on renovation projects or new builds in commercial settings.
- Understanding of construction safety regulations such as OSHA standards or equivalent local workplace safety laws.
