Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems to process transactions accurately and swiftly
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and assisting with menu selections
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across food prep areas, dining spaces, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Buss tables, clear trays, and assist in maintaining a tidy environment for guests
- Support food handling procedures to ensure freshness, safety, and quality of all products served
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation or food service roles within quick service or fast-food restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in cashiering, serving, bussing tables, or working in a café or grocery store environment is highly desirable
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Basic kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
