Graduate with Bachelor or comparable Degree in Architecture or Architectural Drafting, 3-5 years’ experience.
Hull Cove Design is a full-service design division of Kirby Perkins Construction specializing in the Design-Build delivery of high-end residential projects and is currently seeking a Drafter II to assist in meeting the growing demand for our design services.
As an integral part of the design/build team, a Drafter II is responsible for the production of Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents along with other related deliverables and duties as part of the project team. This position reports to and assists the Lead Architect, Designers and Project Managers through project completion.
· Develop design or technical drawings under direct supervision of Lead Designer
· Work collaboratively with fast paced, detail-oriented design & construction team to achieve client expectations
· Layout of plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules in AutoCAD, Revit and related media using Hull Cove Design Process and Standards
· Perform administrative tasks for Lead Designer and Project Manager as required for project production
· Perform site visits to complete existing conditions surveys and assist with general construction administration
· Work with Lead Designer and Project Manager to resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
· Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
· Analyze site constraints, building codes, zoning ordinances, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on project
· Meet with onsite personnel and subcontractors to discuss and collect the full scope of any infield issues to relay and resolve with lead designer
· Part time to full time; 40 hour weekly minimum
· Flexible schedule with a 8 am to 5 pm workday
· Own transportation required
· Portfolio showing full grasp of both Revit and AutoCAD
