Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles including sprinter vans, box trucks & straight trucks
- Plan routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules across local deliveries or regional deliveries
- Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and safety compliance.
- Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, truck driving standards, and safety protocols during all phases of transportation.
- Manage the documentation process for freight delivery, including manifests, bills of lading, inspection reports, and delivery confirmations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Execute precise truck loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage or accidents during transit or delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial vehicle driving with a focus on route driving across regional & local areas
- Hands-on experience with various types of trucks including sprinter vans, box trucks & straight trucks
- Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance standards.
- Skilled in manual handling techniques for cargo management.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries.
- Ability to load/unload freight with manual handling methods while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures including freight documentation and load securing practices.

Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
