MESF Learning Standards Support Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Position Overview
D2 Government Solutions is seeking a MESF Learning Standards Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) aligned with Objective Area 1 to support the Force Generation Professional Support Services requirement for Maritime Expeditionary Security Group ONE (MESG ONE).
This position is contingent on contract award, focused on ensuring learning standards compliance, curriculum assessment, and training standardization for the MESG ONE N7 Department.
Location & Work Schedule
- Primary Work Location: MESG ONE, NOLF-IB, Imperial Beach, CA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
- Travel: CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Course Curriculum Model Manager in the areas of Patrol Boat Operations, Tactical Communications (ashore and afloat), and Expeditionary Security curriculum
- Evaluate and report MESF curriculum and Course of Instruction compliance with:
- OPNAVINST 1500.75 series
- NECCINST 1500.13 series
- NAVEDTRA M-142
- Other applicable higher-level directives
- Develop recommendations to improve and standardize:
- Training assessments
- Qualification standards
- Certification processes across MESG ONE units
- Conduct research and analysis of technical documentation from:
- MESF
- NECC / NECCPAC
- NFC / NECTF
- NAVSEA
- Joint service publications
- Support recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and as needed) related to training and readiness
Minimum Qualifications
- Active SECRET clearance (required at time of application)
- Minimum 15 years of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in NETC-compliant course and curriculum development
- Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification required
- Minimum 3 years of recent MESF curriculum development experience (within the past 5 years)
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (ideally in an education-related field)
- Strong analytical, research, and technical writing skills
- Experience working with military training and readiness programs preferred
- Familiarity with AI tools in government or civilian environments highly desired
Security Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must comply with all Navy security policies and complete required training (e.g., Navy e-Learning)
