Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code). Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Diagnose electrical issues within complex industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low-voltage circuits.
- Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, local electrical codes, and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on existing electrical infrastructure, including troubleshooting system failures in commercial or industrial settings.
- Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects, providing expertise in electrical wiring, blueprint reading, and installation of industrial or commercial electrical systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial or commercial electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes.
- Skilled in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage control circuits.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics efficiently for installation or repair tasks.
- Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining safety protocols.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is preferred.
- Strong commitment to following electrical safety procedures and compliance standards at all times.
