Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Superintendent to lead on-site operations for our complex medical construction projects.
In this role, you will be the absolute authority on-site for safety, scheduling, quality control, and trade coordination - Because healthcare environments demand an elite level of precision, you will ensure all work strictly adheres to infection control, safety, and hospital operational protocols without interrupting patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Leadership: Direct day-to-day on-site field operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards.
- Subcontractor Management: Schedule, coordinate, and supervise all trade contractors, resolving field conflicts and ensuring clear communication regarding job site layouts.
- Infection Control & Compliance: Implement and strictly enforce Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols, temporary barriers, and strict interim life safety measures (ILSM).
- Document Mastery: Interpret complex architectural blueprints, structural designs, and highly specialized healthcare MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineering drawings.
- Inspections & Quality: Partner closely with civil field engineers, hospital facilities staff, and local inspectors to complete quality checks before work is closed up.
- Safety Champion: Enforce a zero-injury safety culture on-site, conducting daily safety briefings and ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven Track Record: 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, with a strong, dedicated portfolio of healthcare, hospital, or clinical facility projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare-specific building systems, medical gas lines, and specialized regulatory requirements.
- Certifications: Active OSHA 30-hour certification required; ASHE (American Society for Health Care Engineering) or formal ICRA training is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, crisp communication, proficient digital tool usage (Procore/BIM software), and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
