Are you experienced in the fire sprinkler industry and ready to take the next step in your career? We’re a well-established fire sprinkler contractor seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing team. This is not a remote position. The ideal candidate will be local to the Long Island area and can reliably commute to our main office as well as our customer locations as needed. This is NOT a remote position. The ideal candidate will be working in an office setting as well as performing surveys on location as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project needs and service requirements
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates and cost proposals for installations and service work
- Handle material ordering and ensure timely deliveries
- Coordinate and confirm appointments with clients and subcontractors
- Serve as a point of contact for client communication and support
- Visit jobsite to verify production and allocate manpower accordingly
- Attend jobsite and coordination meeting
- Submit RFI's, communicate with AOR, EOR, and/or contractor as necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Requirements:
- Fire sprinkler industry experience is REQUIRED
- Management or supervisory experience in a construction or service-based environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read plans, understand NFPA codes, and write professional estimates
- Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in basic office software (Outlook, Word, Excel); estimating software experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
