Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with consistency, quality, and presentation in mind, including techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food production.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and ensuring ingredient availability for daily operations.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations to ensure a safe kitchen environment.
- Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals and accommodating dietary restrictions as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient food service during busy hours, managing high-volume production seamlessly.
- Execute food preparation tasks such as knife skills, portioning, and plating with precision and care.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of workstations, following all food safety management protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven culinary experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably with fine dining experience or catering background.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitizing procedures.
- Demonstrated skills in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation.
- Experience with menu planning and food production for high-volume settings.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not required.
