About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment. In this role, you will apply your expertise in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Your proficiency in electrical systems, mechanical systems, and root cause analysis will be essential to your success.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on liquid injection molding machines, extruders, and auxiliary equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, implementing effective corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
- Conduct thorough root cause investigations for major equipment failures, providing detailed reports and recommendations to the Maintenance Manager.
- Calibrate equipment to ensure adherence to established standards, maintaining accuracy and reliability.
- Test electrical systems and circuits using appropriate testing devices to ensure safety and compatibility.
- Propose and implement equipment improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and prevent future failures.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and promoting best practices among team members.
- Ensure all maintenance work orders are promptly addressed and documented, contributing to efficient workflow management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in preventive maintenance or as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to use and interpret measuring devices, gauges, and inspection tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Technical degree.
- In-depth knowledge of compressors, chillers, and water softener systems.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with injection molding processes.
- Familiarity with cleanroom operations and contamination control procedures.
