Job Summary
As a Software Engineer & QA Tester Intern at Incognio, you will contribute directly to the development and quality assurance of our core virtualized communication platform. You will work alongside our operations team, write production-grade code, and design test strategies that ensure our systems meet the high reliability standards our customers expect.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain features across our communication platform in C++, C#, and/or Java
- Write and execute manual and automated test cases to validate functionality, performance, and regression scenarios
- Identify, document, and track bugs through the full lifecycle from discovery to resolution
- Collaborate to review code, share feedback, and improve software quality
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute ideas during planning sessions
- Create and maintain documentation for new and existing features and test procedures
- Support CI/CD pipeline improvements and contribute to build and release processes
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- C++ · C# · Java — experience with at least two is strongly preferredProficiency in one or more of:
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for quality
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript for any front-end or tooling work
- Exposure to audio/media protocols, VoIP, SIP, or real-time communication systems
- Familiarity with QA methodologies, test frameworks (e.g., Google Test, JUnit, NUnit), or test automation
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, WebRTC, SIP/RTP)
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and command-line tooling
