Westwood Country Club
The Banquet Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service during weddings, private parties, club events, meetings, and other special functions. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming, polished,
and memorable experience for members and their guests.
Banquet Servers work closely with the Banquet Captain, Banquet Manager, culinary team, and other service staff to ensure events run smoothly from setup through breakdown. The ideal candidate is personable, attentive, dependable, and
comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.

Assist with setting tables, chairs, linens, place settings, glassware, silverware, and other event equipment according to established standards.

Prepare dining and service areas prior to the arrival of members and guests.

Ensure tables, service stations, and event spaces are clean, organized, and properly stocked.

Review event details, menus, timing, and service expectations with the Banquet Captain or Manager.

Assist with buffet, bar, hors d'oeuvre, and food station setup as directed.

Provide attentive, professional, and courteous service throughout each event.

Serve food and beverages according to established service standards and event specifications.

Maintain awareness of guest needs and respond promptly to requests.

Clear and reset tables efficiently while maintaining a polished appearance.

Assist with buffet and food station service, replenishment, and presentation.

Serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages responsibly and in accordance with club policies.

Communicate guest requests, dietary restrictions, allergies, and service concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor.

Maintain proper timing and coordination with the kitchen and banquet team.

Create a welcoming, hospitable atmosphere for members and their guests.

Maintain a friendly, professional, and positive demeanor at all times.

Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service whenever possible.

Handle questions or concerns professionally and refer issues to the Banquet Captain or Manager when appropriate.

Protect the privacy and comfort of members and guests.

Clear tables, service areas, and event spaces efficiently following the conclusion of an event.

Properly clean, organize, and store banquet equipment and supplies.

Assist with breakdown of tables, chairs, linens, bars, buffets, and service stations.

Return rooms and service areas to established club standards.

Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the event and closing process.

Assist with closing duties as assigned by the Banquet Captain or Manager.

Maintain a clean, professional, and wellgroomed appearance.

Arrive on time and be prepared to work at the scheduled start of the shift.

Demonstrate knowledge of proper banquet service techniques and club standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the event.

Communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers, supervisors, members, and guests.

Work effectively as part of a team and willingly assist coworkers when needed.

Maintain confidentiality regarding members, guests, and club business.

Follow all food safety, alcohol service, sanitation, safety, and club policies.

Previous restaurant, banquet, catering, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.

Previous food and beverage service experience preferred.
