Wire Cutter
Location: Austin, TX 78744
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime opportunities may be available)
Hourly Rate: $20 per hour
Integrity Trade Services is hiring experienced Wire Cutters for a growing electrical distribution operation in Austin, TX. This role is focused specifically on cutting and identifying electrical wire types and sizes in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing or electrical distribution wire cutting experience, understand different wire types, and be comfortable working with wire-cutting equipment and RF scanners.
Wire Cutter Key Responsibilities:
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and transfer orders to determine wire type, size, length, and quantity needed.
- Cut and spool different wire sizes using wire-cutting machinery.
- Identify, measure, tag, and label wire accurately, including VNTC, THHN, XHHW, SER, URD, and Medium Voltage Cable.
- Track wire footage from reels and update wire tag markers as needed.
- Scan, sort, and place materials in the correct warehouse locations.
- Monitor wire inventory levels and communicate when stock is low.
- Maintain accuracy, safety, and organization while completing daily wire-cutting and order fulfillment tasks.
Wire Cutter Qualifications & Requirements:
- Prior wire cutting experience required, preferably in electrical distribution, utility, or manufacturing.
- Must know how to cut and identify wire types such as VNTC, THHN, XHHW, SER, URD, and Medium Voltage Cable.
- Experience operating wire-cutting machinery strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and follow customer orders, work orders, and shipping instructions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet throughout the shift.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Forklift/reach truck experience preferred; minimum 1 year reach truck experience is a plus.
