- Strengthen working capital performance through oversight of cash positioning, short-range liquidity planning, customer credit practices, and vendor disbursement controls.
- Design, implement, and monitor internal control procedures across purchasing, onboarding of suppliers, cash handling, customer credit administration, and payment approvals.
- Lead manufacturing finance activities by developing cost models, maintaining product costing structures, allocating overhead, and ensuring accurate inventory valuation.
- Oversee the monthly close process to deliver complete and accurate financial results within an efficient reporting timeline, including reconciliations across general ledger accounts.
- Analyze financial and operational results by reviewing cost variances, margin trends, labor efficiency, yield performance, and budget-to-actual outcomes, then communicate actionable insights to leadership.
- Apply technical accounting guidance and revenue recognition standards to ensure financial reporting remains compliant with applicable U.S. requirements.
- Manage tax-related financial obligations, including multi-state sales tax considerations, regulatory filings, and coordination of broader corporate tax compliance needs.
- Maintain audit-ready records, prepare reporting packages such as departmental profit and loss statements and profitability analyses, and support external audit and quality documentation requests.
- Enhance financial systems by supporting accounting integrations, automated ledger mapping, payroll connectivity, and documentation practices aligned with quality and traceability standards in regulated operations.
- Demonstrated experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role with responsibility for full-cycle financial operations.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, bookkeeping fundamentals, and month-end close management.
- Hands-on expertise in internal controls, technical accounting, and revenue recognition within a complex operating environment.
- Proven background in cost accounting, inventory analysis, and inventory audit support, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to manage cash flow reporting, receivables oversight, payables coordination, and financial performance analysis.
- Familiarity with document control standards, audit preparation, and maintaining organized financial records for compliance purposes.
- Experience overseeing tax compliance activities, including sales tax and multi-jurisdiction reporting requirements.
- Effective leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to guide specialists and support operational stakeholders.
