The Nascence Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Janitorial Project Manager/Site Supervisor to oversee custodial services at a federal office facility in Asheville, North Carolina.
The selected candidate will serve as the primary onsite representative and point of contact for the project. This individual will be responsible for supervising janitorial personnel, coordinating work schedules, monitoring service quality, responding to customer concerns, and ensuring that all work is completed safely and in accordance with contract requirements.
The facility contains approximately 33,648 square feet of cleanable space and includes offices, administrative areas, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, stairways, an elevator, laboratories, storage spaces, entrances, balconies, and other common areas.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for all onsite janitorial operations.
- Maintain full authority to make routine operational and staffing decisions on behalf of the company.
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate janitorial employees and any specialty cleaning personnel.
- Ensure adequate staffing and backup coverage are maintained for all scheduled services.
- Review the Performance Work Statement, cleaning schedules, floor plans, and service requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections to confirm that services meet required quality standards.
- Document deficiencies and ensure that corrective actions are completed promptly.
- Implement and follow the company's Quality Control Plan and building inspection checklist.
- Communicate professionally with Government representatives regarding schedules, concerns, service requests, and performance.
- Remain reachable by telephone and email during the Government's regular daytime working hours.
- Coordinate urgent service-call responses and ensure qualified personnel can report to the facility within the required response period.
- Oversee regularly scheduled services, including:
- Trash and recycling removal
- Restroom cleaning, disinfecting, and supply replenishment
- Kitchen and break-room cleaning
- Dusting and high dusting
- Sweeping, dust mopping, damp mopping, and vacuuming
- Floor waxing, buffing, stripping, and refinishing
- Carpet cleaning
- Interior and exterior glass cleaning
- Window-frame, sill, and blind cleaning
- Cleaning light fixtures and conference-room chairs
- Exterior entrance, sidewalk, loading-dock, balcony, and dumpster-area cleaning
- Coordinate exterior window cleaning from the ground level through the third floor using properly trained personnel and appropriate equipment.
- Ensure all cleaning products, chemicals, tools, and equipment are used safely and properly.
- Ensure employees follow OSHA requirements, site safety procedures, security requirements, and proper chemical-handling practices.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, fingerprinting, background screening, identification badges, facility access, keys, and required Government training.
- Maintain professional employee conduct and appearance while working at the facility.
- Immediately report potential contractual, staffing, safety, or performance issues to company leadership.
Minimum Qualifications

At least five years of experience working in the custodial or janitorial services industry.
- At least two years of experience in a project management, site supervision, crew-lead, or team-supervision role.
- Demonstrated experience supervising commercial or institutional janitorial operations.
- Experience developing work schedules and assigning tasks based on required service frequencies.
- Experience conducting quality-control inspections and correcting performance deficiencies.
- Ability to read, understand, and implement detailed performance requirements and cleaning schedules.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with employees, company leadership, and Government representatives.
- Ability to remain available by telephone and email during Government operating hours.
- Ability to respond to or coordinate urgent onsite concerns within required timeframes.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to the Asheville worksite.
- Ability to pass required federal background screening and fingerprinting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required federal facility identification and access credentials.
- Ability to complete required online security and facility-access training.
