Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Position Summary
Primarily responsible for daily cleaning of patient rooms, ancillary areas, offices, and public facilities in accordance with hospital housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Abides by Universal Precautions and Infection Control program policies.
- Is knowledgeable of safety program and ES responsibilities; and executes those responsibilities when necessary.
- Monitors work area for compliance with JCAHO Environment of Care standards.
- Distributes linen and maintains linen inventory management records.
- Stores supplies properly. Utilizes cost control measures when obtaining and using supplies. Keeps equipment clean and in good working order.
- All cleaning assignments are completed to ES Department Policy and Procedures.
- Performs unexpected/unplanned cleaning projects along with daily assignments.
- Completes cleaning of patient use equipment, IV Pump and Bedside Commode, to ES Department Policy and Procedures.
- Follows chain of command for any problems, grievances, etc.
- Work traits are professional, positive and productive.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
- 1 year of Cleaning Experience (Preferred)
