The Job in 3 Lines
- Weld and repair big train cars (thick steel)
- Work 50–60 hours a week
- No train car know-how needed — but NO excuses for being late or slow

- You’ve powered through brutal weeks—like 6+ days straight, 10–12+ hour shifts, in freezing cold, scorching heat, or pouring rain—and still showed up early, stayed focused, and delivered without excuses or burnout.
- You regularly rack up overtime because you’re built for it (and you like the extra pay that comes with it).
- When a mistake happens (weld fails, part doesn’t fit right, safety issue pops up), you jump on it fast: diagnose, fix same shift if possible, test it twice, and move on—no whining, no finger-pointing, just results.
- You pick up new skills under pressure quickly. You’ll get trained on the railcar basics, but you’ve got to hustle, ask smart questions, practice after hours, and get good fast.
- In 2 years, you see yourself leveling up: You’ve got clear drive and know this job is a solid path to get there.

Pay & Perks
- $20–$25/hr depending on experience
- OT at 1.5x after 40 hours
- Health insurance after 60 days
- Pay bump after weld certification
