Career Links is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to provide services to students in a school-based setting. The PT will support students with physical and mobility needs that impact their access to education, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote independence and participation in the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate students’ physical and functional abilities in the educational setting
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
- Maintain documentation in compliance with IDEA and district/state guidelines
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
- Train staff on mobility strategies, positioning, and safety procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university
- Active Washington State PT license through the Washington State Department of Health
- Valid Washington state Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience with assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and mobility supports
- Familiarity with a variety of student populations and disabilities
