SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, guests, and visitors. This position performs routine cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance duties throughout all three facility, ensuring the public and staff areas meet cleanliness and safety standards at Pima Air and Space Museum, Titan Missile Museum and Tucson Military Vehicle Museum.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Responsible for opening the museum for all staff, visitors and vendors; and closing the museum, ensuring all visitors and vendors have exited for the day.
- Monitor and maintain assigned areas by cleaning, sweeping, dusting, mopping, waxing, scrubbing or vacuuming per established facility cleaning procedures.
- Responsible for all waste containers and disposal of all waste in the proper receptacles.
- Responsible for cleaning, sanitizing and stocking all assigned restrooms.
- Responsible for operating Scissor Lifts and Boomlifts following OSHA and Museum guidelines to clean hanging displays and high windows and walls
- Maintain facilities and grounds, including but not limited to clearing weeds and all forms of debris.
- Responsible for timely reporting of safety concerns and violations to designated staff members per departmental procedure, including security.
- Responsible for safely and properly maintaining equipment and tools used in assigned area(s); return equipment and tools to appropriate storage areas upon task completion and/or end of shift.
- Responsible for safely and legally driving Foundation motorized vehicles and electric carts while conducting Foundation business.
- Responsible for reporting all emergencies, requesting assistance, clarifying tasks, and obtaining authorization and other types of daily communication.
- Responsible for appropriately removing, handling and disposing of items per outlined procedures in the OSHA Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and/or safety protocol.
- Responsible for timely set-up and/or breakdown for special and contracted events, such as tables, bars, chairs, heaters, A/V and PA equipment, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
· Must be able to work with chemicals, including but not limited to paint, solvents, herbicides and janitorial cleaning supplies.
· Must be able to read and interpret equipment manuals, material safety data sheets, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
· Must be able to comply with safety regulations and maintain clean orderly work areas.
· Must be able to operate equipment, i.e., Scissor Lift, Boom lift
· Must be able to utilize sensory perceptions (sight, smell, touch, etc.) to determine cleanliness of facilities, grounds, etc.
· Must have the ability to legally drive a motorized vehicle, electric cart, and other foundation equipment.
· Must be able to complete work assignments with attention to detail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs. without assistance, with the ability to lift to 80 lbs. as necessary with assistance.
· Must be able to reach above head, down to the ground, and work with kneeing while using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
· Must be able to perform moderate to heavy manual labor.
· Must be able to walk on uneven ground throughout the museum property.
· Must be able to crawl, bend, stretch, and climb while performing routine tasks.
· Must be able to work in non-air-conditioned areas throughout the year.
· Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and electric cart.
· Must work boots and other personal protective equipment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
The required and preferred education and work experience are listed below. A combination of work experience, education, and training may be considered to demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities normally achieved through the indicated education and experience.
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
· 6 (six) months experience in general facility repair and maintenance
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
· Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
· Ability to read and comprehend moderate to complex instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
· Ability to effectively present information over the telephone and in person during one-on-one and small group situations.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
