Community Financial Services Group, a growing VT-based trust and investment company that provides local personal investment and financial planning services to our clients, is currently recruiting an Investment & Trading Specialist to join our Investment Department in our Newport, VT office. This position works from our office in Newport.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Execute equity, fixed income, and other investment transactions
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of portfolio modeling programs
- Monitor and review trade activity and settlement processes
- Support portfolio management and investment committee activities
- Maintain investment objective documentation and account records
- Assist with annual account review processes and reporting
- Prepare investment performance and review spreadsheets
- Assist with fixed income trading and maturity tracking
- Perform monthly tasks, and prepare reports, meeting materials and committee minutes
- Collaborate with Wealth Advisors and other team members to provide excellent client service
- Other duties as assigned
Attributes of a Strong Candidate:
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Excellent math, verbal and written communication capabilities
- Professional with a strong work ethic and attendance record
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
